The Processing Time Histogram Plugin may be used to collect data about the time required to process operations targeted at local backends within the server. It measures the duration between the time that the server receives the request and the time that it sent the response and can place that time into one or more user-defined categories. The data collected will be published via a monitor provider.
The Processing Time Histogram Plugin component inherits from the Plugin

Admin Action Required | None. Modification requires no further action |
Description | Indicates whether the plug-in is enabled for use. |
Default Value | None |
Allowed Values | true false |
Multi-Valued | No |
Required | Yes |
Admin Action Required | None. Modification requires no further action |
Description | Specifies the boundary values that will be used to separate the processing times into categories. Values should be specified as durations, and all values must be greater than zero. |
Default Value | 1 ms 2 ms 3 ms 5 ms 10 ms 20 ms 30 ms 50 ms 100 ms 1000 ms |
Allowed Values | A duration. Lower limit is 1 milliseconds. |
Multi-Valued | Yes |
Required | Yes |
Admin Action Required | The Processing Time Histogram Plugin must be disabled and re-enabled for changes to this setting to take effect. The Data Metrics Server can only aggregate response-time data when the boundary values are the same across both time and monitored servers. If you change the boundary values on one monitored server, you should change them on all monitored servers. |
Description | Indicates whether operation processing times should include the time spent waiting on the work queue. This will only be available if the work queue is configured to monitor the queue time. |
Default Value | false |
Allowed Values | true false |
Multi-Valued | No |
Required | No |
Admin Action Required | None. Modification requires no further action |
separate-monitor-entry-per-tracked-application
Description | When enabled, separate monitor entries will be included for each application defined in the Global Configuration's tracked-application property. Regardless of this setting, the aggregate processing time histogram monitor entry will always be present. Consult the product documentation for more details on configuring the Directory Server to track LDAP statistics on a per application basis. |
Default Value | false |
Allowed Values | true false |
Multi-Valued | No |
Required | No |
Admin Action Required | When setting this option to true, you must also set the per-application-ldap-stats property in the Stats Collector Plugin to per-application-only. |
